Why This Matters Right Now

Look, most of us weren't taught how money actually works. School covered algebra but skipped budgeting. That's where we come in.

Since 2018, we've worked with Canadians who wanted better financial habits. Not to get rich quick—to stop feeling anxious every time they check their bank account. Our approach focuses on building systems that fit your life, not someone else's ideal.

We're opening enrollment for September 2025 programs. Classes are small because individualized feedback matters. You'll work through real scenarios—the kind you face when deciding whether to lease or buy, or figuring out if you can actually afford that mortgage.

How Our Programs Work

We've noticed something over the years. People don't need more information about finances—they need help applying it. That's why our programs focus on practice, not lectures.

Three Learning Paths

Our fall 2025 schedule includes three options, depending on where you're starting from:

  • Foundation Program (8 weeks) — For anyone who wants to understand budgeting, debt management, and basic investing
  • Advanced Planning (12 weeks) — Covers retirement strategies, tax optimization, and estate basics
  • Business Finance (10 weeks) — Designed for freelancers and small business owners managing both personal and business money

What Makes This Different

You'll work on your actual finances during the program. Bring your real numbers, your real questions. We review anonymized scenarios in group sessions, so everyone learns from diverse situations.

Classes meet once weekly, either Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings. Between sessions, you complete exercises using our workbook system. And you can reach instructors via email if you get stuck—we usually respond within 24 hours.

Meet Finnegan Holbrook

Lead Instructor & Program Developer

I spent twelve years as a financial advisor before realizing most people needed education more than investment products. That shift led me to create geexaesavua in 2018.

My background includes work with credit unions across Alberta and British Columbia, where I saw the same patterns repeatedly—people earning decent incomes but lacking basic financial frameworks. That experience shaped how we teach here.

I hold a CFP designation and teaching certificates from the Canadian Securities Institute. But honestly, the best part of this work is watching someone go from financial stress to having a plan they trust.

Our next cohort begins September 2025. If you're tired of feeling behind with money, maybe it's time to try a different approach.
